Former I’m A Celebrity contestant Aggro Santos has strenuously denied being a rapist, saying it went against his morals and his pride, a court has heard.
The 24-year-old Brazilian-born rapper is accused of raping a then 16-year-old girl after the University of Chichester summer ball in 2011.
Santos, who is standing trial under his real name, Yuri Santos, is also alleged to have raped a woman in her 20s in his hotel room in Yeovil on September 25, 2010 after a gig.
When he was questioned by detectives over the alleged sex assault in Chichester the musician told officers: “I would never have done that.
“It goes against everything I have been brought up with, my morals and my pride.”
He added: “It’s a really, really big card to pull out on someone.”
Santos, of Bickersteth Road, Tooting, south west London, denies two counts of rape in relation to the incidents in Chichester and Yeovil.
The case continues.
