Parents are being reminded to park safely outside an infant school after a child was nearly knocked over.
Downs Infant School in Brighton issued a warning to parents of youngsters on its website.
The school said: “We continue to experience difficulties with inconsiderate and dangerous parking near the school.
“Double parking in Florence Road, Rugby Road and Florence Place is illegal and dangerous.
“We have had a report of one of our children nearly being knocked down due to restricted visibility through double parking at the top of Florence Road.
“Parking on any double yellows, particularly on Ditchling Road and in Florence Place, across people’s entrances or on white or yellow zig zags is selfish, lazy and dangerous – please don’t do it and help to allow a safe journey to and from school for all our children.”
