On a recent visit to the Royal Pavilion in Brighton, I was appalled to see the state of the gardens with untidy flowerbeds and uncut grass surrounding them.
Waste bins were overflowing and there was debris all over the ground.
This was in front and around the building that most visitors come to our city to see.
Brighton and Hove City Council could take lessons from Eastbourne and Worthing.
Obviously it is more important to waste ratepayers’ money on 20mph speed limits.
I am given to understand these speed limits are legally unenforceable while new cycle lanes are, for the most part, hardly used.

Is the Green Party out to destroy our city with horse-and-cart 20mph limits throughout Brighton and Hove? The pollution, if any-one cares to smell the air, is cancer-inducing.
We have a nightly round of rats and foxes to our bins, now entering a fourth week of being uncollected.
I am going on for my centenary and I can only say let me escape this mad culture, let reason reign.
