Albion bosses have changed the locks of their training facility to prevent suspended manager Gus Poyet from accessing it.

A leaked email from the University of Sussex’s head of security, where Albion currently train, urges any sighting of Poyet or his managerial team to be reported “without delay”.

The decision was taken after the shock suspension of the Uruguayan along with his number two Mauricio Taricco and first team coach Charlie Oatway.

Roger Morgan, University of Sussex’s head of security, wrote in a letter leaked to The Argus: “For those of you not already aware, Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club has suspended its managerial staff and the individuals are barred from the club’s premises, which includes their training facility and offices at the Falmer Sports Complex.

“In order to ensure the ban is observed at the FSC, the football club has changed the lock on the front door of the flat, as the individuals concerned may still hold keys.”

The club declined to comment.

The Argus understands that it is standard practice in these circumstances to protect all parties involved.
