Parents visiting The American Express Community Stadium were told to change their three-month-old baby on the floor of the ladies toilets due to a lack of baby changing facilities.

John and Anne-Marie Graham received the advice when they visited Dick’s Bar at Brighton and Hove Albion’s stadium with their baby Usain.

The Graham family, of Mantell Close, Lewes, said they had to change their baby in the back of their car instead.

Mr Graham said: “It’s just wrong in my opinion. It’s advertised as a community stadium and yet there are no baby changing facilities in a family restaurant.”

An Albion spokesman said: “We aim to cater for the needs of all visitors to the stadium.

“From our extensive research before building the stadium we were aware that very few provide manufactured babychanging units, and stadiums are not under any obligation to provide such facilities.

“From past experiences, visiting families with young babies carry baby changing bags, for which we provide adequate space for changing in the ladies and disabled wash rooms.

“We apologise if an Albion family felt let down on this occasion.”
