A 22-year-old who died in a road crash has been named.

Adam Wingrove, from William Allen Lane in Lindfield, died in a fatal car accident near Haywards Heath on Wednesday.

Mr Wingrove was travelling northbound in Isaacs Lane at about 4pm when his silver Ford Fiesta collided with a white Mercedes estate travelling in the opposite direction.

A 37-year-old Haywards Heath woman driving the Mercedes, and her 18-month-old daughter, were treated for minor injuries at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "This was a tragic incident in which a young man sadly lost his life.

“We're still keen to hear from any witnesses who saw what happened and would particularly like to speak to the driver of a black car, believed to be a Vauxhall or similar, which was seen travelling north in Isaacs Lane prior to the collision.”
