Two acts from hit ITV show Britain's Got Talent have been added to this year's Pride line up.

Flamboyant four-piece The Clubtown Freaks and dance troupe The Glambassadors were two of the surprise hits of this year's series.

Both will now play the main stage on August 3 along with headline acts including Paloma Faith, Alison Moyet, MKS (the original Sugababes) and Stooshe. Clubtown Freaks, led by club legend Chrissy Darling, made it all the way to the show's semi-finals earlier this year.

Ms Darling said: “Britain's Got Talent was a fantastic thrill but we are even more excited about playing at Brighton Pride's main stage on the same bill as legends like Alison Moyet. It's going to be one amazing day.”

The Glambassadors also made it to the semi-final stage receiving a standing ovation from judge David Walliams in the process.

Pride organisers are reporting healthy ticket sales so far with the early bird offer still valid until this weekend (June 30).

From Sunday prices will go up from £12.50 to £17.50.

For each ticket sold each £1 will be donated to local groups.

Pride director Paul Kemp said: "We are thrilled to have secured our biggest line up ever for the new main stage, with something for everyone.

"Anyone who takes advantage of the £12.50 early bird ticket offer this year is getting themselves a serious bargain.

“Advance sales are well up on last year and we are extremely hopeful that this year's Pride could sell out.”
