Director Ben Wheatley has been named as a patron of Brighton Film Festival.
The 41-year-old, who is best known for his films Kill List, Down Terrace and Sightseers, is the latest Brighton resident to lend support to the event.
Other patrons include Nick Cave, Steve Coogan and producer Henry Normal.
Mr Wheatley has born in Essex but has spent much of his adult life in Brighton and Hove.
His first feature film, Down Terrace, is set in the Brighton road of the same name. A Field in England, his new film, is to be released nationwide on July 5.
