A27 chaos following accident near Lewes
An accident on the A27 is causing tailbacks of more than four miles.
The road is blocked eastbound following the crash at the A277 Brighton Road / Ashcombe Hollow (Ashcombe Roundabout).
It is understood that a car collided with a lorry around 6pm.
There is heavy congestion on both the A27 and A23.
Police have said that the road will be reopened by 7.15pm.
