The founder of last year’s Argus Achievement Award Charity of the Year has told how the awards gave his organisation a “huge boost”.
Scott Freeman, who set up Cybersmile, an online bullying charity, described the award as “the perfect end to our first year”.
He added: “It was fantastic. We are really proud of what we have done so far and this gave us a real sense of achievement.
“Just being in that room with all those amazing people was something else. Everyone was so positive and hopeful.
“It really spurred us on and we have gone from strength to strength in our second year.”
The charity, which delivers advice and support to individuals and families affected by online bullying, has now been shortlisted for two national charity awards.
Mr Freeman added: “We are really moving forward now.
“The Argus Achievement Awards was the start of that.”
