Action-packed children’s entertainment is on the agenda for a new city start-up.

EnjoyArts holiday club was formed in April with the aim of entertaining creative young minds across Brighton and Hove.

The firm, founded by award-winning entrepreneur Rochelle Rekowski-Donavan, will be kicking off a fun kids’ summer schedule that’s set to tire even the most energetic of youngsters.

EnjoyArts will start their crusade on the children’s entertainment market by running dance classes at The Happy Cell in Hove, aimed at two to five-year-olds.

The sessions, called ‘Tots Move and Groove,’ will run hour-long morning sessions from July 8.

Subsequently, from July 13 at Anahata Healthcare in Brighton, children aged three to 11 can try their hand at drama classes for a six-week period.

Both courses cost just £35 for six weekly classes, working out at just under £6 a session.

Full day ‘Holiday Club’ sessions at City College, for children aged three to 12, will also run on Wednesdays and Fridays through August.

The club is designed for parents who need to work in the summer holidays, mixing the safety of traditional child care with the creativity of dance, drama, art and music classes at just £25 a day, from 8am to 5pm.

Parents can also pick up an EnjoyArts Class Card, where six classes be purchased for £35 – but can be used in any two month period from the date of the first class.

Ms Rekowski-Donavan, winner of the entrepreneurial initiative Young Start-up Talent, said: “I’ve always been a creative person. As a child I really valued activities like dance and drama and found it helped with my school work and self-confidence.

“I think it’s important children have a creative output of some sort as it helps them grow and develop as a person.

“When children have done something they’re proud of, like a dance project or a drama piece, it gives them self-confidence and drive for similar success in the future. I’m just happy to be able to provide somewhere for them to do that.”
