An acclaimed author visited pupils at Brighton College in one of her first engagements as Children’s Laureate.
Malorie Blackman, author of the Noughts and Crosses series, introduced her newest novel, Noble Conflict, to Year 7 and 9 pupils last week.
Ms Blackman, winner of this year’s Southern Schools Book Award for Boys Don’t Cry, addressed pupils in the school’s great hall before hosting a booksigning session.
She follows in the footsteps of other laureates such as Julia Donaldson, Michael Morpurgo, Jacqueline Wilson and Michael Rosen.
