A fitness company has paired up with a rugby star to launch a series of events in Brighton that will see the nation burn off two million calories outdoors this summer.

British Military Fitness (BMF) has joined forces with British Lions and England rugby player Austin Healey to deliver fat-fighting training programmes to help the nation shed the pounds.

Thanks to BMF START, those looking to slim down can take part in their first session free of charge at one of three locations in Brighton and Hove – Hove Lawns, Preston Park and Hove Park.

Austin Healey said: “Working with British Military Fitness I want to inspire people to swap their slippers for a pair of trainers.

“Everyone is new and giving it a go for the first time. Combine this with an expert team of ex-military instructors, plenty of banter, and a really effective workout, and you can see why a BMF START event is the perfect way to get your fitness off to a flying start this summer.”
