Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance has signed up to a new code of conduct designed to improve standards.
The code has been drawn up by the Association of Air Ambulances and makes previously established standards mandatory.
It includes standards of medical care, civil aviation practices and fundraising activity, requiring air ambulances to meet the standards set by UK regulators, the Care Quality Commission, Civil Aviation Authority and Fundraising Standards Board (FRSB).
With the new Code, there will be greater consistency of fundraising standards and more organisations using the “Give With Confidence” tick logo, helping build public trust.”
