A busy road was partly closed during rush hour after a three car crash.

Emergency services were called to the A22 Polegate by-pass at about 7.45am today.

No one was injured in the incident although a spokesman for Sussex Police said all three drivers were shaken.

Officers said the road was partially blocked for a short while, but the incident was dealt with in about 25 minutes.

Police said two vehicles were taken to Cophall services to await recovery.

The third was driveable and departed without further assistance.
