Worthing bypass should be part of a national South Coast trunk road called the M27. Perhaps I should suggest we call it the Folkstone to Honiton South Coast trunk route M27 – but this time with large parts already in place.

No road survey, as far as I’m aware, has been put together recording traffic frequency from the Channel’s ports to the South West via the M25 or other A-roads.

A South Coast trunk road would ease traffic on the M25.

All planners seem obsessed with adding lanes to an already crowded M25 instead of looking at the alternatives.

In addition, a proper rail link at Ashford International for European trains and an upgraded South Coast railway route could help solve most of our problems with less harm to the environment or money wasted on a Worthing bypass inquiry.
