Staff, pupils and police hunted for two boys, aged six and seven, who were missing from a Hastings school for more than two hours this afternoon.
A Hastings Police statement said: "The boys have gone missing from Silverdale School, Payton Road, Hastings.
"They were last seen leaving the school's grounds at 3.20pm today.
"One is wearing a navy blue jumper and the other is wearing a yellow raincoat."
A school spokeswoman confirmed the head was searching.
The boys were found at 5.35pm at Hastings seafront.
A Sussex Police spokesman said; "We don't know exactly why they ran off but there no suspicious circumstances and they are being re-united with their parents. Our thanks go to everyone who helped in the search"
