The other day, a ride-on mower was cutting all the grass verges where I live. There’s nothing wrong with that.

Then along came a young chap with a strimmer to trim the edges – nothing wrong with that either.

Then, to my amazement, a man came along with a large blower-type machine on his back and blew all the cut grass (wet I may add) all over the place.

I can’t understand what this is supposed to do. It made the whole street look messy.

Perhaps they think if they blow the grass all over the roads and pavements, it will spread it about and make it look better than being in a large pile. I really don’t know.

I even had some blown into my garden, so obviously I had to clear it up. Maybe that’s what they are hoping. I would really appreciate an answer from my local council on this matter.
