A film company is to shoot every Shakespeare sonnet in a different location across the UK.
Over the next year, Hove-based Dogtooth Films is shooting every one of the famous sonnets written by the country’s greatest ever dramatist.
The first test run was held in Brighton on Tuesday with filming for the real thing taking place on Saturday between 10.30am and 2.30pm at the Friends Meeting House in Ship Street with volunteers needed for 15-minute intervals to read from an autocue.
The nationwide filming process will take almost a year and will be used as an educational app.
Speaking about the trial run in Jubilee Square this week, producer Dee Rudebeck said: “It went really well.
People were really responsive and keen to get in front of the camera and record a bit of Shakespeare.”
