Fire fighters spent the early hours of the morning extinguishing wheelie bins in a string of suspected arson attacks.

The crew from Preston Circus Community Fire Station were called initially to a blaze in Old Shoreham Road where a green wheelie bin had been set alight at about 2.20am.

The solitary Brighton crew were out on the call for about 20 minutes.

The incident has been reported to the police and the fire investigation team.

Yet more small fires started deliberately in the Hove area. There has been the spate of car fires and then this. Soon someone will be killed.

It says 'Southdown Road' actually, and there is one in Portslade north of the village so perhaps they mean there.
