I have a question for Sussex Police!

What is the point of issuing an appeal 72 days (>10 weeks) after an incident? Who knows where they were 72 days ago? Unless someone was a direct witness to the incident, who would remember?
It may well be that someone saw something possibly related to this but wouldn't make the connection because of the length of time that has passed and the longer the period, the less likely any information of interest will be gathered.

Is this a serious appeal? Or are the Police just going through the motions?
My personal view? Don't bother! Ridiculously inadequate attempt to tick a box and very disappointing!

Police aren't asking if you were there. They're asking whether you know the people in the pictures. Still, why let facts get in the way of an opportunity to have a go at the Police.

According to the libs my edit My Brighton and Hove website Whitehawk
doesn't deserve its reputaion.but I bet this won't make it on their forum. Nor does the fact that over 40% of Hawkers are on benefits and it's one of the most deprived areas of the country ( bottom 5%). You'd never think so reading the description they give of it. Good old libs!!!

Ive been attacked the police made no attempt to investigate the incident, that was a few years back basically you have got to be aware of your surroundings in B&H as after the cuts we have very few police on duty at night.Notice these incidents take the police months before they ask for help thus there is very little chance of anyone being caught, there has been several crimes in the argus lately that happened months ago.Perhaps after the cuts we should bring in private security like the nightlife has done as our police are no longer fit for purpose.

Gee ... I dunno ... the attackers swore at the victim before attacking him. Maybe it was something they said?

This story means some poor police employee has been sitting, watching about a week's worth of CCTV footage, scrolling back and forth, back and forth ... until s/he got to the bit with the attackers. That's been his or her only task at work since the beginning of October. Being a forensic scientist is so much cooler on CSI.
