Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery has been stolen.
Police are appealing for information after George Moss in Uckfield was targeted overnight between Thursday, December 12 and Friday, December 13.
A Sussex Police statement said: “When the shop owners arrived for work at 8.40am on Friday they discovered the main front door had been forced. A large amount of jewellery had been taken from the window displays and cabinets.
“It is thought thousands of pounds worth of jewellery has been stolen.
“We are appealing to anyone who might have seen anyone acting suspiciously or hanging around the High Street near the jewellers.”
