A Christmas celebration will mark the completion of changes to a notorious Brighton junction.
Contractors from Brighton and Hove City Council have spent months carrying out the improvements to Seven Dials.
To celebrate, a gathering will be held at 7pm tonight with short speeches from councillors and local residents followed by carol singing with the Dawn Chorus Choir from St Luke’s Church.
Shops have been encouraged to stay open late and members of the local community have organised a local shopping quiz with the opportunity to win prizes.
Changes include creating a longer oval traffic island to replace a mini-roundabout and installing new crossings while removing railings.
Many trees have also been planted to green the area, with new benches and cycle racks added.
