Revised plans for a resident parking scheme near Brighton's Preston Park Station have been unveiled.
Brighton and Hove City Council is asking those living and working in the area north of the station to comment on its proposal to charge those who want to leave their vehicles on streets outside their homes.
This will see restrictions imposed from Monday to Friday from 9am to 8pm in streets including Tivoli Crescent North, Tivoli Road, Maldon Road and Matlock Road.
The Area E scheme has been created after an initial plan for restrictions including weekends saw 50% for and 50% against.
Councillor Pete West, chairman of the council's environment, transport and sustainability committee, said: “We have listened to what people told us during the consultation and adapted our proposals as a result. We want to find the right balance for residents, businesses and visitors as well as to keep traffic moving safely.”
A consultation to the formal traffic order will run from January 13 to February 4 Comments will be reported back to a future meeting of the Environment, Transport and Sustainability Committee.
