The company said 2013 was another record year for requests to personalise models, ranging from the inclusion of jewellery boxes and fridges to a family crest.
A spokesman for Rolls-Royce said the new jobs will be created at the manufacturing division at Goodwood.
He said “The move will bring the workforce to around 1,100 in the manufacturing division These will be highly skilled jobs - we are a centre of manufacturing excellence. One big reason we chose Sussex as our home in 2003 was because it has the skills base we need - and it still has. It has saddlemakers, woodworkers from the boat industry, coachbuilders and a range of other automotive skills. We are a very proud local employer.”
Torsten Muller-Otvos, chief executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: "My aim at the beginning of last year was sustained growth and another sales record. I am delighted to announce our sales for 2013 and to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the marque with an historic record result.
"We have reported a strong year and have maintained our position at the pinnacle of the super-luxury market. Rolls-Royce is a British manufacturing success story, with a dedicated workforce that is second to none."
The news follows the unveiling of the Rolls-Royce Ghost V-Spec. Based on the standard and extended wheelbase Ghost models, it features various upgrades including a power boost and a new interior trim package.
