I am rather perplexed by the bits of plastic and bottles hanging from several trees in front of St Peter’s Church in Brighton.

Not only do they detract from the beauty of the Charles Barry front of this listed building but I would have thought a possible danger to passing traffic and pedestrians should they fly off.

The trees will soon be coming into leaf and no doubt have a blanket tree preservation order on them. I hope this rash of plastic (and shoes) which is already defacing trees on The Level will soon be removed before the spring.
