Reports of A27 Westbound partially blocked due to accident, two cars involved at A23 London Road (Patcham). No delays currently showing on traffic sensors.

Reports of a serious RTC involving a pedestrian.

Details below:

A24 Worthing Road Northbound closed, queueing traffic due to accident, car and a pedestrian involved between Mill Straight (Southwater) and B2237 (Hop Oast Park And Ride Roundabout, Horsham). Emergency services on scene.

On the Buses: SERVICE 27 are delayed due to queuing traffic along Dyke Road nothbound. Delays of 20 to 30 mins

Update: the fabric has been removed from the A27 but there is flooding on the A24 at Horsham, just passable.

Update: Police said: "There was a further but unrelated single car RTC on the westbound carriageway of the A27 near the Hangleton slip shortly before 4.30pm on Wednesday 29 January when the car hit the central reservation. The 30-year old woman driving the car is believed to have sustained slight injuries. No further relevant information is recorded on our systems at present."

Reports the second crash involves FIVE cars.

It's out of patch but on the network: 17:06 London Bridge to West Croydon is cancelled due to a member of train crew being unavailable.

Sussex Police are now reporting a SECOND crash on the eastbound carriageway of the A27 at Shoreham

They said: "Further RTC now reported on eastbound A27 Shoreham."

There is apparently a "large piece of fabric" blocking the A27 at Patcham. 

But not causing delays....

At 3.35pm on Wednesday 29 January a car travelling west on the A27 hit the central reservation just before the entrance to the Southwick Tunnel and spun round. No other vehicles were involved and there is no current report of any injuries. One westbound lane was still open and there have been westbound delays but the Highways Agency are currnently repairing the barrier. The driver of the car was arrested on suspicion of drving with excess alcohol and is being taken to custody for interview and further enquiries
