I must praise the emergency services for their work during the tragic accident involving a bus and an 18-year-old girl on the morning of Tuesday, January 28 (as reported in The Argus).

I was a passenger on the number 25 bendy bus pictured in your paper and, as such, had a fascinating view of the arrival and departure of the air ambulance.

This was followed by some fine work from Sussex Police as officers attempted to sort out the traffic jams.

It is very sad that this girl lost her life. I have great admiration for all the people involved in trying to save her. My thoughts are with her family.
