A severe multi-vehicle collision has occurred on the A26 at Clayhill and left the road blocked.
Three cars were involved in the initial crash in stormy conditions just north of Lewes this afternoon and then debris struck a fourth vehicle.
Several people are being treated for minor injuries but nobody has been seriously injured.
Emergency services attended the scene after being called at just after 1pm.
