I feel enormous sympathy for neighbours in Valley Road who suffered damage to their new-build homes recently.
The incident of a car ploughing into the front of a property (The Argus, February 5) raises two points: Firstly, how fast should police pursue a stolen vehicle travelling in a 20mph zone?
Secondly, building regulations: the use of a steel frame around the front of new-build terrace properties ought to be mandatory, especially those with wood/stud internal walls.
A steel frame would have largely prevented the impact affecting adjacent properties.
