- The bomb squad has been called to Stephenson Way in Three Bridges, Crawley, following the discovery of a suspicious package.
- The package was sent to the offices of Crawley MP Henry Smith.
- 2.30pm update - the 'bomb' was, in fact, just a letter, police say.
Here are some more pictures of the cordon by our photographer Terry Applin:
And this from Emily Walker: The cordon is now down, and the incident is over.
Just in - police say the suspicious package is, in fact, just a letter. More as we get it.
Here's a picture from onlooker Peter Bellamy, sent to us on Twitter. He said: "I was at Barclays and saw the cars across the entrance, with the officers waving traffic past."
More from Emily Walker: Sussex Police have just told her the trading estate is likely to be closed to vehicles for the next five hours.
Mr Smith has spoken to a local paper. He said he was not at the office at the time, adding: “My office received a handwritten envelope this morning and one of my senior case workers collected it and thought it looked suspicious. It was quite bulky and lumpy.
“It was a handwritten address envelope which is unusual because I normally receive printed correspondence. If constituents want to contact me it is mainly done through e-mail now so the envelope stood out."
Argus chief reporter Emily Walker is on the scene. She said the bomb squad is on the scene, and their robots are being deployed.
She's emailed us this picture of the cordon:
The package has been sent to Crawley MP Henry Smith's office at the Crawley Business Centre in Stephenson Way, police have confirmed.

There's clearly more interest in this bomb scare following the string of parcels left at army recruitment offices across England last week, one of which was in Brighton. Responsibility has since been claimed by a group calling themselves the IRA.
