In 20 years’ time will our current railway situation be adequate?
We need a thriving modern transport network for a successful city and county.
We need to attract businesses so all our residents can benefit.
Look at the number of empty units in lower North Street.
We urgently need an integrated transport network plan that includes not only another train line to London but also a proper bus station.
We must upgrade. Our railway links not only Brighton to London but also other communities along the route, as well as Gatwick.
This includes other rail services which join the mainline en route.
I think such issues should be election issues and we should support people who are going to actually provide answers to these questions – not just talk about them.
