Judging by the number of people at a meeting at St Luke’s Church about the 81 bus, it would seem people are against this idea. Who wants to take a 20-minute journey on a shuttle route when we can get to Old Steine in five minutes on the 81 bus? Many older people use the Pavilion Surgery and shop in St James’s Street.
As usual, these proposals hit the elderly and vulnerable. Come on councillors: step up and back us.
