Horsham road closed because of two-car crash

Two cars have crashed on the A264 at Horsham and people are being urged to avoid the area.

Sussex Police confirmed one lane was closed and there was queueing traffic due to a crash near the Cherry Tree pub.

A Sussex Police spokesman said: "At 3.15pm on Wednesday police, fire and ambulance were called to a road traffic collision on the A264 Crawley Road, Faygate, Horsham, eastbound near the Cherry Tree pub.

"Two Peugeot cars were involved. Both drivers suffered neck injuries, though these were not thought to be life-threatening. The eastbound lane (Horsham to Crawley) was closed to traffic while the incident was dealt with."
