Does any reader remember the actor Andy Robinson (“Scorpio”) in the 1971 film Dirty Harry with Clint Eastwood?
In the film, he hijacked a school bus and tricked children into thinking he was a school inspector. The poor children had to sing “Old MacDonald Had A Farm” and “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” with him.
Every Friday, I visit Eastbourne Library and the chief librarian gets a toddler group to sing, “row, row, row your boat...” It is quite eerie and reminds me of this film.
Andy Robinson turned 72 on February 14 and will probably be best known for “Scorpio”. It was a unique role and I was almost sad when Dirty Harry shot him into a stream at the end.
