I am a lifelong Coventry City fan and can remember a few trips to Brighton and Hove Albion.
In truth, in a fair few of them it wasn’t a great result from my point of view. However, I am sure Albion fans are proud to have a home (both at Withdean and the Amex) after exile in Gillingham.
We Coventry fans no longer have a home. Our owners have rejected the continued use of the Ricoh Arena and moved the club 35 miles to Northampton despite the continued opposition of the fans.
Coventry City fans are hurting due to this exile from their home city. The club’s owners seem indifferent to it.
The new breed of owner that we’ve seen in places such as Hull and Cardiff seem just as indifferent.
Coventry fans are raising an e-petition calling for an investigation by the Culture Sport and Media Committee into football club ownership in general, and the situation at Coventry City in particular.
We need the help of your readers if we are to reach our target. Here is the link: http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/59884.
