Newhaven sex offender jailed for impregnating 15-year-old

The Argus: Newhaven sex offender jailed for impregnating 15-year-old Newhaven sex offender jailed for impregnating 15-year-old

A sex offender who impregnated a 15-year-old girl has been jailed.

Adam Willmore has been jailed for two years and eight months on appeal after pleading guilty on three counts of sexual activity with a girl under 16 between July and September 2012 which resulted in the 15-year-old victim becoming pregnant.

The 23-year-old, of The Crescent in Newhaven, was sentenced at Hove Crown Court earlier this month to three years but had the sentence reduced on appeal yesterday.

He is also subject to a ten year Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) severely restricting his access to children and will remain on the Sex Offender Register indefinitely.

Detective Constable John Steven said "The victim in this case was vulnerable and her life has changed forever, something which cannot be undone.

“The sentence imposed will ensure that the risk from this man is minimised and emphasises that this sort of behaviour will not be tolerated.”

Two years eight months jail sentence for little more than a teenager for having consenual sex with a 15 year old teenager.
And the person who punched and killed a handicapped person has just this week been sentenced to 4 years for committing murder. Some justice system we have in this country.

This is ridiculous 'the victim' is not a victim. She consented to it and there was a relationship it's not like he raped her! Adam is not a monster he's a nice person and this isn't right at all. I hope karma finds her soon she's obviously just bitter and this is very childish behaviour. If she's a 'struggling mum' she should have asked for his help.

Not sure of all the facts in this case but the sentence does seem rather harsh if fridayiminlove is correct! In my younger day (a couple of century's ago) the saying was, It take 2 to tango!

If she's a 'struggling mum' she should have asked for his help............. That is the only thing I would disagree with you over as I don't think she should have to ask for help. As the father he should be helping regardless but maybe that will be her karma as it is going to be difficult now in the aftermath and one day she will have to explain herself to this child.

Thanks to everyone who agreed with me. I don't personally know the girl but have heard a lot of people say they have seen her hanging around car parks with people smoking and drinking without the baby so that's bad to start with. Adam has never given reason to believe he's anything but a normal 23 year old who's got a good heart and this girl wouldn't even send a picture of their daughter to him?He was over the moon just finding out his own daughters birthday for crying out loud. He shouldn't be spending this amount of time in jail at all it's so sad,Ian Watkins IS a pedophile,Adam is not even close to that.

Some people will do anything to tick a box, notch one up on the spreadsheet and gain favour for promotion. Ruining a young mans life for doing what people do in a social group is hardly cause for congratulations.
Karma will no doubt deal with D.C. Steven all in good time. Look forward to it son!

She was 15 when she became pregnant, he is 23 years old which was his age at sentencing. They are talking about two different events separated by time ...
