On the local TV news last week, a councillor stated that Worthing Council was considering introducing 20mph speed limits on the streets of Worthing. He admitted that enforcing these speed limits would be impossible but thought motorists would abide by them.
This councillor must be living in cloud cuckoo land. Motorists do not abide by the present limits so, knowing the 20mph limit will not be legally enforced, motorists will not drive at 20mph.
