This is the man police want to speak to after a elderly woman had more than £1000 stolen from her handbag by an intruder.

Sussex Police have published this e-fit in a bid to help to solve the burglary of an elderly woman in Lustrells Vale in Saltdean at 1pm on Friday April 3.

The flat’s 92-year old occupant opened the door to a man and even though she promptly closed the door on him she found later that the door was open and more than £1000 had been taken from her handbag in the flat.

Police want to speak to the man described as white, about 6' 2", bald, and wearing dark clothing including a buttoned up coat.

Detective Constable Richard Valder-Davis of the Brighton Priority Crime Team said; "This was a despicable theft in which an elderly lady was preyed upon.”
