So it has finally emerged in the mainstream media that the Government intends to make it easier for energy companies to frack in the UK.

They are about to try to push a bill through Parliament amending the current legislation on trespass.

This will deny any person who owns their house the right to say no to fracking underneath their own feet.

This law could have disastrous consequences for everyone as our homes, public buildings and farm land will be un-insurable therefore rendering property to a point where it can’t be sold. Yet we will still have to pay mortgages to the corporations which are benefiting from the fracking itself.

Also, I believe mineral rights on your land may, in the future, belong to the Crown. This law, should it get through Parliament, can only be enacted by Royal Assent, meaning the Queen would give her assent to a piece of legislation under which she is the sole beneficiary.

Am I the only person who can see what is at stake here?

Given that there are so many lords in Government, one has to wonder if a return to “absolute rule” is heading our way.

Is now not the time for us to demand a change to the constitution in the UK?

Next year marks the 800th anniversary of the signing of Magna Carta. I would suggest this basic law be re-written so it brings the country back into the control of all its people, not just a privileged few.

In finishing, isn’t now the time we considered privatising the entire Royal Family?

We could then tax them at 99% and use the revenue generated to feed and house the poorest and most vulnerable people in society. I don’t think Her Majesty will mind too much – she is (by her own admission) a devout Christian and would no doubt like to emulate Christ himself by practising what she believes in.
