Men wearing motorbike helmets were seen fleeing a property with bags of stolen goods.

Police are searching for two men seen running out of a flat in Islingword Road, Brighton, at about 3.30pm on Wednesday.

They were carrying bags and drove away on a motorbike.

Among the items stolen from the home were designer handbags, a Tiffany bracelet and an Xbox games console.

Detective Sergeant Zoe Hubbard said: "We believe the men had come from the flat with stolen items in the bags they were carrying.

"We think after they escaped they rode into William Clarke Park and took off their crash helmets.

"We need to speak to anyone who saw the break-in, the men escaping from the flat or men in bike helmets in William Clarke Park. If you saw or heard anything, please contact us."

A 21-year-old man from Peacehaven, a 22-year-old man from Brighton and a 29-year-old man of no fixed address have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and possession of a class B drug.

All three men are currently being questioned in custody.
