A man is to appear in court accused of hurling racist abuse at a police officer.
Police were called to Gladstone Terrace, Brighton, at 8pm on May 16 to a report of a man damaging the front door of a home.
Bradley Jay Hughes, 31, of Pelham Road, Seaford, was arrested and later charged with racially aggravated intentional harassment, alarm and distress, criminal damage and obstructing or resisting a police officer in the lawful execution of his duty.
He was released on bail to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court on 10 July.
