A YOUNG entrepreneur is snapping at the heels of success with his unique Polaroid concept.

Olly Dall, 23, has been in business for six months with PolarSnap – a service which allows social media pictures to be printed off in real time.

The unique service is popular at festivals, weddings, bars and private parties, and is set to appear at Love Supreme jazz festival at Glyndebourne, as well as regular appearances at the Mesmerist, Hobgoblin and Hare and Hounds pubs in Brighton.

PolarSnap links the old-school nostalgia of physical Polaroid pictures with the new-fangled sepia-tinted media of Instagram.

Olly explained: “All people have to do is give their pictures a particular hashtag and we can print it off there and then.

“It’s not just about bringing back the Polaroid – it’s about people enjoying the party and not being stuck in a photo booth.

“We stand out because no one is doing this concept.”

Olly, previously an estate agent, came up with the idea after seeing some people playing with a Polaroid and started selling snaps on Brighton beach.

He will fly out to New York later this month for talks with a technology firm which he believes could take PolarSnap to the next level.

PolarSnap and Saints of the Lot are hosting 'The Chemist’s War', a prohibition-style event with a twist, at the Caribou Rooms on July 11th.
