I write to you in response to your article about the prospective renovation of the old Buxtons building at The Level in Brighton.
As a member of the Buxtons family, I can confirm that we are all extremely pleased that at last the site that we owned for 87 years is finally looking likely to be redeveloped and put to good use.
The corner plot has a been an eyesore for far too long and has let down what is becoming an up and coming regenerated quarter.
The family did not anticipate such a lengthy inoccupation of eight years What I feel I must add to Neil’s article is that the Buxtons business was relocated to Woodingdean in 2006 and is still family owned and run to this day.
