A Sussex man was arrested at an airport after he was refused entry to Canada having travelled across the Atlantic on one of the world’s most famous ships.

Paul Branch, 55, unemployed, of Silwood Street, Brighton, was refused entry to Canada after arriving at Halifax, Nova Scotia on the Queen Mary 2 liner on Wednesday.

He will appear at Brighton Magistrates Court at 10am tomorrow after being arrested at Gatwick Airport today.

He is wanted for failing to appear at Brighton Magistrates for common assault on a warrant not backed for bail.
