Energy minister praises solar project to the skies

A Government minister has given his seal of approval to an ever-increasing solar project.

Energy minister Greg Barker joined Hove MP Mike Weatherley in praising Brighton Energy Coop’s solar farm in Shoreham Port during a visit earlier today.

The c-op has raised more than £700,000 in what is believed to be the biggest project of its kind in the South East.

Mr Barker, the MP for Bexhill and Battle, climbed on to the roof of Shed 3a at the port to view the new 800-panel solar array which is currently being installed and will start generating renewable electricity from the middle of next month.

The latest £240,000 section of the scheme has been funded entirely by members of the public, who have bought shares in Brighton Energy Coop over the past three months.

Mr Barker said:"This project here in Shoreham Port, championed by Mike Weatherley MP is a great example of community action.”

Well done BEC and all those that invest. I understand BEC have also already managed to get funding for community initiatives.

Not sure what Weartherly did though.

Many people - in politics and elsewhere - seek credit for the successes of others, and blame others for their own failures.
Maybe HJarrs' comment was too subtle for you!

Leo, don't type while drunk - it makes you look an even bigger fool than we already know you to be ;-)

Perhaps he was there because he has invested in BEC and he is the MP for Portslade. Would you have complained if Lucas had attended instead?

Good, I hope Weatherley is an investor, he has plenty of money and makes a fair amount in parallel with parliamentary work.

Caroline Lucas has a long record of supporting BEC including raising their success in the House of Commons. I am unaware of similar levels of support by Weatherley or Kirby.

The output of these panels are reduced / minimised by the Geo Engineering going on ( The spraying of our skies due to Solar Radiation Management ( Chem Trails ) )

Keith Wetherley has been informed of whats going on in our skies, and seen local evidence and he is indifferent to the subject. He will " Keep it in mind ". He did not know what was going on and stated so 1 year ago.

Research Geo Engineering, Believe what your eyes are seeing and then question these masters of fakery about their politics.

FYI : Greenpeace & the Greens refuse to deal with it or talk about Geo Engineering.. that's how corrupt our political system is...

FYI : off topic - there are no comments allowed on the latest j saville story... read Irvine Welsh's book 'Ecstacy' , The last story is about j saville and his antics at stoke mandeville hospital... Welsh knew all about saville... it is well known the story is about saville....

@Darcstar - I think you need professional psychiatric help...

1. His name is Mike Weatherley not Keith.

2. There is nothing wrong with geo-engineering - According to Wikipedia:

"Geoengineering, geological engineering, engineering geology or geotechnical engineering deals with the discovery, development, and production and use of subsurface earth resources, as well as the design and construction of earth works"

"Geoengineers work in areas of (1) mining, including surface and subsurface excavations, and rock burst mitigation; (2) energy, including hydraulic fracturing and drilling for exploration and production of water, oil, or gas; (3) infrastructure, including underground transportation systems and isolation of nuclear and hazardous wastes; and (4) environment, including groundwater flow, contaminant transport and remediation, and hydraulic structures."

In other words it is just an engineering science - hence, probably, why Greenpeace and 'the greens' can't be bothered to talk about it...

3. WTF has Saville got to do with fracking?

Pachallis, being good at Google and regurgitating Wikipedia as and when doesn't make you enough of an expert to make the call that there's nothing wrong with geoengineering unfortunately. Must try harder.
