So Mr J Kitcat wants council tax to rise to 5.9%.
Seventy per cent of working people have not had a rise in three years and the other 30% have even seen cuts to wages (hence strikes).
With an increase of 5.9% many will never be able to afford it. Plus the Bank of England expects the interest rate to rise making it a double increase which will not be affordable.
Tell me Mr Kitcat, how much is still owed in council tax from last year and the year before?
Your 5.9% will only add to this amount. Trying to make a name for yourself before your departure is not going to work.
