Motorist taken to hospital after crashing into street lights in Bexhill

The A269 London Road in Bexhill was closed due to an accident.

Police closed the eastbound between the A259 King Offa Way junction and the A259 King Offa Way junction following the collision at 12:45pm. 

A spokeswoman from Sussex Police said: "A driver has been taken to hospital after hitting street lights in King Offa Way, Bexhill.

"His injuries are not yet confirmed following the collision reported at 12.45pm on 16 July."

The Highways Agency made the lights safe.
