A woman was threatened with a gun and dragged into the street, where she was assaulted.

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a 27-year-old woman from Hastings who was attacked in Cambridge Gardens, Hastings on Friday July 11 at 9pm.

The victim was socialising in a flat with people known to her when she was threatened with a firearm and then dragged into the street, where she was assaulted.

The victim sustained a cut and bruise to her hand.

PC Daniel Moss said: "We would like to talk to anyone that witnessed this assault in the street, please get in contact if you saw anything."

A 22-year-old woman, from St Leonards-on-Sea, was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and possession of a firearm with intent. She was questioned and released on bail until Wednesday August 27.

A 48-year-old woman, from Hastings, was arrested on suspicion of assault. She was questioned and released on bail until Wednesday August 27.
