Chainsaws, hedge cutters and strimmers were among a number of items stolen from a school shed.

Burglars broke into the shed on the grounds of Claremont School in St Leonards between Saturday July 19 and Monday July 21.

Detectives believe the lock was cut with bolt croppers.

A number of items were stolen including a selection of Stihl chainsaws, hedge cutters, strimmers and leaf blowers. Two hard hats and ear defenders were also stolen.

Any witness or anyone with information is asked to call 101 or email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1033 of 21/07. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
